NLC represents foreign and
domestic producers, service suppliers, businessmen, local
and multi national corporations in a broad range of local
and international trade and services matters, from high
technology to telecommunications and
mega-tourism-developments. Also, we are currently devising
an expert team consisting of several diamond and goldsmith
experts to assess and mediate in local and regional disputes
related to the industry. The NLC team includes economic
analysts and accounting and computer specialists, as well as
local and international trade lawyers, and provides
comprehensive advice and assistance on all trade policy
matters.
We aspire to become a
corner stone in Jordan’s professional market and hence play
a main role in providing regional service on a global level.
We have helped many startup companies, as well as advising
several multinational entities to meet their trade policy
and dispute resolution needs.
In addition to work for major Arab, EU
corporations and US, our international trade work over the
last year alone has included clients in Japan, India and
South Africa. We have counseled these clients in matters
involving investments, trade disputes, management takeovers,
and intellectual property disputes, "safeguards" proceedings
and quota negotiations, as well as customs law, sanctions,
export controls, anti-corruption, UN matters, legislative
affairs, and other international trade advice. Our Firm’s
capabilities enables us to attend documents, provide advice
and counseling, and maintain barrier-free communication
between companies and our attorneys in Arabic, English,
French and Spanish.
In addition to counseling
clients involved in active international trade cases or
issues, we provide "prevention counseling" to producers and
trade associations who anticipate future investigations.
Depending on the needs of our clients, the International
Trade Law Group will assemble a team for each particular
case intended to obtain the best results within an agreed
upon budget. Our professional staff of international trade
law experts, former banking advisors and government
officials, highly-trained economic and computer analysts
operate in a lean and efficient manner. |
